Except you are allowed to use 3rd party content, marketplace content, stuff from the learn tab, and the standard ue4 templates. Building a game before the jam and using it when the jam comes out is definitely cheating. Spending time experimenting with different types of games like racing or fighting to try and figure out how they work and what makes them fun is called learning. If you havent ever built a racing game before but want to why wouldn’t you spend some time learning about them?
Well yeah, use any 3rd party content you wish but then credit its creators and therefore display that you have not created it within the span of the jam. Other jams even provide you with an option to opt out of certain judging criteria if you haven’t made content for it. This way its fair for everyone.
Handsome looking guy (that’s me :3) is searching for a team. I use Blender for modelling and my best skill is baking… cookies :3. As a member of the Zak Parrish youtube clan, I love prototyping with Blueprints and I make lovely landscapes and shaders and materials and textures and I love long sentences with and… and I actually do love games :3. If you also want to win (like me) and don’t have a huge project behind your back, let’s have some fun making games from the scratch <3.
*Edit: Kappa
Whatever your take on pre-made assets and chances telling us the theme will be more restricted this month, I have indeed decided to take 1 or 2 people onto our team, one person simply cannot use source control, doesnt have 4.9.x and is sick so unfortunatly dont think it will work out and another person has talked for 5 minutes and been online twice in the week and a half since meeting him. Not kicking anyone off like a bigot, but taking the megajam may I say Epic-iously
PM or skype blendertek
In a team of 4 people at the moment. We have a level designer/modeler, character artist, character rigging/animation and a programmer (me)
Looking for a blueprint / programmer. PM if interested!
Thanks
Anyone here from Lebanon (the country)? if so PM me please.
Howdy!
I’m looking for 2 artist that is good in either 2D/3D art, 1 Music/ Sfx, and either a Programmer or another artist.
If your interested and are conferable with it send me a PM.
Not really that important but if there are any 3d artists out there that want to help my team, pm me.
The team is essentially me doing almost everything and my SO helping out with the high level game, art and level design.
3D modelling is really the only thing I’ve got middling to poor skills in.
Was actually going to test a new private plugin and go solo for this one but if a team is looking for a programmer and has a good enough concept I might be interested.
17 years of c++ and for fun game dev experience.
I’m a decent level 3D artist, Modeling/sculpting, Level design, animation, and some rigging. Texturing isn’t a skill of mine, however if need be it’s also possible. Mostly doing this for more indie pipeline practice/fun, and I’m going to be free for almost every day of the jam, for almost all the time and incredibly flexible at all hours. I specialize in creatures, but I have a bit of ability in anatomical humans as well. My only somewhat weakness is cloth, and that’s dependent on the type. Just pass me a message if you’re interested in picking me up.
I hate to post again but our level designer (Terrain/set dresser/Environmentals/Foilage/Heightmap/Track Design) has had to leave due to a serious illness unfortunatly.
Anyone that can do some/most of those things to some degree please PM me or skype blendertek please.
I’ll try my luck to join a team too! I recently started to learn about blueprints in Unreal engine (and started with my own project! rolling ball for the win!) but I have way more experience in modelling and texturing in blender I also animate and rig my characters! I would really like to try to work with a team and learn what I can. If I can join a team early and coordinate what needs to be done in the realm of 3D or 2D (I also draw and paint concept art), then I can get familiar with exactly what I need to do when the game jam begins, (practice through the motions before the actual thing!) Please let me know if I can join any team, I’m very excited about this!
Some more things about me that’s relevant I guess would be that I do 3D architecture models (products and houses, buildings and such real-world scale) for my day job with blender for WebGl, and create PBR materials for our in house custom engine, been at it for 2 years now, but I really wanna work on games!
Pm me! Thanks!
OK, I am in for the Epic Mega GameJam as a team. Details on the game to come.
Ok i’ll try my luck as well. I am using UE for about a year and have some basic experience with Blueprints, Level Design and 3D Modeling/Texturing. So if anyone has a small or just-for-fun Projects and could use some of these skills feel free to PM me.
Hi everyone!
We’re currently a team of three:-
3D Artist (environment/particles), Rigger and Animator – http://.artstation.
3D Artist (characters/props/lighting) – https://www.artstation./artist/jakayaki
Programmer (physics/dynamics/animation) - http://portfolio.davevill./
We would really like a sound/music artist though we are open to experienced programmers and artists though.
We use Perforce, Trello and Skype for managing the project and communication.
As a warm up for the megajam we made a game based on an old theme “Bump in the Night” – this is our progress in 3 days.

If interested please send me a message with your skills, previous work examples or portfolio and how much time you will contribute towards the game jam.

I formed a Slack group for the Mega Jam for another purpose… if pre-registered teams start joining it, you might have some luck looking for a team to find there.
Howdy All,
Adam VR is looking to grow our team for this mega jam. As of right now, we are a duo from Seattle composed of a programmer and a 3d artist. Screenshots of our most recent game jam submission () can be found here: https://
If you’re interested in joining up with us, send me a pm detailing your talents-- examples of previous work are a plus.
EDIT: We have one spot left on our team, we are looking for someone with experience in any of the following areas:
– Cascade
– Complex Materials
– Sfx
