Texturing hangs and stuck at 40%

I am running the current version of RealityCapture 1.5

Windows 11
Ryzen 9950x
RTX 3090 24GB VRAM
64GB RAM

I have a model which was created with Drones and DSLR which totals up to around 6.8k images. Added control points and alignment and reconstruction were ok. However, the texturing process would hang at 40% for days.

When I went to check the task manager, the cpu usage would go as low as 0.1%, ram usage will be stuck at a low amount, and there will be no gpu and disk usage
The model is 100m tris

my unwrap settings are:
gutter 2
4k texture
large triangle removal threshold 300
fixed texel size - optimal

Aborting would never really stop the process, which would require me to end task on task manager. When viewing the console, the last step shows preprocessing model which is stuck at 87%. the time remaining constantly increases each time i open up the console. I tried clearing cache, restarting my computer but the problem seems to persist.

The images are all within local storage and there is definitely sufficient space for texturing.

What should I do to fix this problem?

Hi @jjeerriieell
As it is stuck in the pre-processing step, there could be something wrong with your model. Can you provide an analyse steps for it (check integrity, check topology and clean model)?
Also, what are your texture settings? Can you try just unwrap the model in one step and then texture it?
And can you provide the application reset: Reset RealityCapture ?

I did all 3 analysis checks, (check integrity, check topology and clean model and all state the model is ok)

Here are the texturing settings

I will try the application reset right now

The showed settings seems to be different what you mentioned in your previous post.
Also, try to set the higher texture resolution, as you are getting almost 500 textures using 4K setting.

This was the initial unwrap parameters that I have set

I will try changing it to 8k textures while maintaining the other parameters the same

I managed to fix the problem by changing all the images file path to another location.
