Weird issue… landscape on left eye seems fine, but in right eye as i move my head or turn the camera its as though the textures are projected from a perspective rather then stationary… like they literally look like they are scrolling textures when i move the camera in my right eye.
Hello ,
I have a few questions for you that will help narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.
Quick questions:
- Can you reproduce this issue in a clean project?
- If so, could you provide a detailed list of steps to reproduce this issue on our end?
- Could you provide screen shots of the issue that you are seeing?
1.) I will try to reproduce when i get time…
2.) Alls i can say about reproducing is i used a maerial from a pack i purchased on the market. “ProceduralNaturePack”.
I mentioned to him that VR also screws up a sky from the ultradynamic sky pack on the market… It sort of instead of making it cloudly liek its normally set up… turns it to a blue sky with a couple of clouds. With that information this guy says maybe VR has problems with material functions. Since his landscape material uses material functions… maybe the sky does too so maybe vr has problems with material functions. Regaurdless neither of them have a vr device to test it with.
3 )Even if i could screenshot both eyes at the same time… which i have no idea how i would do that…i dont think ud really notice since its a problem u notice with motion… As you move the camera the repeating textures just move and pan instead of standing still like the left eye…
Hello ,
I was able to reproduce this issue on our end. This appears to be a known issue ( UE-30278) and it has been submitted to the developers for further consideration. I will provide updates with any pertinent information as it becomes available. Thank you for your time an information.
Make it a great day
Where do we look up the issue number? Is it a known issue with material functions then or or what exactly causes it?
The issue number that is given is a reference to a report that has been logged in our internal bug tracking system. This is given so that you can request updates and/or reference this issue and whoever is assisting you can look it up and be on the same page. As for the cause of the issue, the report has not been updated with any additional information pertaining to the exact cause.
Are there per chance any remedies in sight for this? I am suffering the same problem here in 4.12.1, using Landscape Auto Material.
If there is anything we can do as a quick fix until it is solved?
Hello blindmanonacid,
I do not have a workaround for this issue at this time. However, I will be sure to bump up the community interest on the report for this issue.
Make it a great day
Hi Rudy,
Thanks for your quick response.
It could look like this is the same issue:
It also happens to me when ‘instanced stereo’ is enabled.
This one too, seems like the most comprehensive thread: [HTC ] Right Eye rendering corrupted with Instanced Stereo Rendering - XR Development - Epic Developer Community Forums
