Summary
Sometimes when using multiple custom paints in one terrain block, the terrain block will show a grey blocky texture on the landscape block on SM5. This happens a lot more with Performance mode than with DirectX11. DirectX12 doesn’t have this issue. I think this issue is similar to this Unreal Engine bug: Landscape Grey Sectors While Painting
Steps to Reproduce
I don’t know exactly how to reproduce this issue, but this is how it happened to us. Make custom terrain paints and paint multiple of them on a terrain landscape (multiple paints on 1 terrain block). After that you switch to Performance mode or SM5 in Preview Platform.
Expected Result
The terrain is expected to load properly like on SM6.
Observed Result
A grey blocky texture over the whole terrain block is shown instead.
