SWARM AGENT Not installing - CANNOT BUILD LIGHTING!

I got a brand new Metabox Laptop with the new GTX5060 and Intel Ultra 9 Processor a few weeks ago and spent days transferring old files - But i ended up having to delete all my old Unreal Folders as i have attempted to reinstall both Epic Launcher and Unreal at least 4 times now because I cannot build lighting as it says i have not got SWARM AGENT installed properly.
However upon looking up the issues, there is nowhere to download SWARM and it is not within ANY of the Unreal or Epic folders in User Folders or Program Files.

How do i fix this?

Thanks for your help

If you are using 5.6 version then it’s a known bug and should be fixed in 5.6.1 (when it’s released)

or you can fix it yourself for 5.6, read through the topic i linked.

Hello @SickestHouse21,
It might be a bug in your version of UE. If not, here’s a possible solution for the error you’re facing!

  1. First of all, go to the Epic Games Launcher and click on “Verify”

  1. Then go to the folder where you have a working version of Unreal Engine installed (e.g., UE 5.4 or UE 5.5, depending on the one you have), Inside that folder, navigate to:
Engine > Binaries > DotNET (There you should find files related to SwarmAgent.)

  2. Copy the entire DotNET folder and go to the installation folder of Unreal Engine 5.6 (or the version where you’re experiencing issues)

  3. , inside its structure, navigate to:
    UE_5.6>Engine > Binaries

  4. Right-click inside the Binaries folder and select Paste, when the message “Replace the files in the destination” pops up, ignore it and click “Skip these files” (Do not replace the existing files).

  5. Open your project in Unreal Engine.
At the top menu, click on Build and then select “Build All Levels”.

  6. You should now see the expected message

Hope it helps!
