We have a very fast, high core count machine set up on the network specifically dedicated to bake lights. This remote machine accepts jobs normally over the network, no problem there.
However, Swarm insists on running local jobs as well, even if I check the “Avoid Local Execution” option. Now, my workstation is not half as slow, but it still acts as a bottleneck when compared against the dedicated network machine.
I’ve tried lowering the amount of cores available to swarm on my local computer to 1, but the bottleneck remains.
Do you have any ideas of why Swarm would refuse to observe the “AvoidLocalExecution” config and insist on having local jobs as well?
