Would it be possible to have real-time gore for human skeletal mesh that is low poly to have gore similar to the game like SUPERHOT? I’m making a low-poly multiplayer game in which all characters are humans (800 polys each, no more). I was thinking if I were using a sharp weapon like a sword, you would slice the character and if you are using a hammer, you would smash that character, guns would just kind of explode some chunks off the characters? Also swap the texture to a bloody texture as well. Is this possible? Would this be simpler than have a “gore” mesh hidden and having dismemberments setup? If it’s possible, how can I approach doing this? I want to also be able to have degenerative body damage and gore material on the inside of the mesh that is cut/smashed open.
