Static Meshes problem

No, i don’t have the same result.

I created the model in blender 3d.

in blender, the bars are 0.1 meters thick, I haven’t tried to thicken the bars.

and on your image there are only two bars. this problem breaks my heart…

Upload the mesh, perhaps when folks can have a closer look at it and replicate the issue, they can point out a solution.

Allright.

try to put it in your UE5, then watch.
you tried ?

I put this in UE4 and it looks OK-ish (this is a harsh test for this kind of asset as @ClockworkOcean mentioned, and will almost always produce artefacts). The whole domain of rendering fences with tight geo is full of fake techniques that makes things look acceptable in motion.

FXAA makes an utter mess out of it at distance - as expected. Temporal AA is passable. From 100m away:

pylon2.fbx (274.7 KB)
Maybe not an ideal solution but I up-scaled the thickness of the struts to reduce AA shimmering

Not sure if the export scale is the same as blender (went through maya)

Allright, allright.

but when you move there is the problem much more visible
should I thicken the bars 3 times more and leave as is ? or another solution ?

This is what it looks like after the upscale

Just scale along normals to make the parts thicker.

It does not look fantastic, but nowhere nearly as bad as what you’ve demonstrated:

it’s pretty good, what is upscale please?

Do you have the same settings as me ?

What is UE5 doing to make it look so much worse? At least in this very case.

Could be because of medium scalability + resolution scaling (as the op mentioned they are not using 100%) So reconstruction may have less pixels to work with for TSR.

I originally tested it in a window, when I run this full screen, it’s pretty crisp. :expressionless:

Allright, i have tried the model of 3dRaven, i have less flickering.
I’d say it’s 60 percent better.

To do the same in blender:

thanks, that might be helpful.
i have chain-link fence too, I should thicken too I think.

well, I have to thank you for all this advice. I think the problem is almost solved. I would thicken the small shapes and I would change the model of the pylon, with fewer bars.

I can’t validate a message as a solution because several people have helped me.

Thank you all. Have a good day.
