Summary
I’ve been having an issue with my VFX for quite some time now. It seems that any Niagara system using “Static Mesh Location” doesn’t appear for the local player when they pick up a VFX Powerup device that uses it. This works correctly on other platforms, but mobile seems to be bugged.
“Skeletal Mesh Location” works correctly on all platforms, and mobile players can see other players’ “Static Mesh Location” VFX, just not their own.
I’m not sure whether this is a problem with the VFX Powerup device or with Niagara systems that use “Static Mesh Location” in general, so I will select “Assets” as the type of bug I am reporting.

Steps to Reproduce
- Create a new Niagara system.
- Use “Static Mesh Location” in the Niagara system with a sprite or mesh renderer.
- Add a VFX Powerup device to the level and set its custom VFX to the Niagara system you created.
- Launch a session and pick up the VFX powerup you placed on mobile. The VFX will not be visible to you. However, other players will still see your VFX, and you can see theirs when they use the same powerup.
Expected Result
The VFX should be visible to the local player.
Observed Result
The custom VFX does not show for the local player if they are on mobile.
