Hey guys, I’ve been trying to make a simple campfire scene and render it out in the movie render queue. I’m using the fire blueprint that is a part of the “Starter Content.” The problem I’m having is that when I either play the game or go into the game view, or try to render my scene, the fire does not appear. This same problem occurs on the StarterMap as well, so it’s not level dependent.
I then went and made my own fire by following a Niagra tutorial. This solved the problem of it not appearing when playing the game or going into the game view, but it still doesn’t appear when rendering. I have tried rendering with the path tracer (my preferred way of rendering cinematics) and with deferred rendering/Lumen. I’m wondering if I can render fire in UE5 at all. All the tutorials online seem to be just creating the fire itself, not rendering it. This is not a problem with any of the other starter content simulations, such as the sparks blueprint, it just starts at the beginning of the simulation every time I render, which is kinda annoying and I end up having to cut out the first bit of every render. Any help would be great!
Also, if there is a way to “bake” or pause physics simulations, that would be super useful. I do some archvis on the side, which is usually just still frames, and having to render out a whole simulation just to pick one frame is a bit wasteful in terms of time.
