Spawn Pads will not enable when receiving signal!

I’m using a random number generator with a volume that makes a trigger device trigger when the zone lands on it. I want the trigger to enable a spawn pad but it will not work. I’ve tried making the trigger enable other devices and it works fine, so its only spawn pads that wont enable. any help would be appreciated!

Spawn Pad enabling and disabling is a bit of an issue.
Are you enabling them for use in the same round or over different rounds ?

They seem to reset on round end and I’ve accepted they can’t enable or disable for use in different rounds.
But I would be disappointed if they are not functional in the same round.

There is a limited workaround, if your not needing more than 15 or 16 different spawn locations, by using classes, set each different set of spawn pads to a accept different class slot number and change a players class to suit where they should spawn next.

see the only issue with this is that i would need to use an elim manager to track the player who dies and tell a class manager to switch there class upon death but i cant get that to work either, the elim manager seems to have issues with sending signals upon a player dying from what I’ve experienced.

Here are some possible workarounds you can consider

Possible workarounds (depending on your setup)

  • opt for teleporters to transport players when using the RNG Device
  • opt for player checkpoint pads to respawn players in designated areas after they are eliminated

If disabled - Player spawn pads should re-enable automatically upon round start/ game start, just as @Hardcawcanary has mentioned. :+1:
