Skeletal Mesh disappearing

For Skeletal Meshes, inside the blueprint use “Component Use Fixed Skel Bounds” under the “Optimization” category.

Skeletal meshes uses bounds of the Bodies Shapes from Physics Asset. And if you don’t have them or they are for some reason smaller than the actual size of the mesh, this can cause disappearing. Increasing the “Bound Scales” can help, but option “Component Use Fixed Skel Bounds” makes the bounds correct, it fits bounds to the mesh size.

You can see the difference by debugging / visualizing this. In the Level, go to “Show > Advanced > Bounds”
