Thank you so much! That was such a headache.
Awesome brother. thank you so much
The answer by @ScrapingBottom seems to be the more appropriate solution, and it did in fact work perfectly for the characters disappearing eyes, eyelashes, and eyebrows. Thanks a bunch to both of you for the valid answers!
I did not test the answer by Imperium2
Excellent!!! Thanks for the fix!!
works like a champ! thanks
never had this occur before, and looked at clipping, LODS etc but came here and Bang!
these forums have gold in their them hills!
nope. still doesnt work
ALL OF THE ABOVE, P R O B A B L Y worked, after i turned on ENABLE LARGE WORLDS
Thank you very much, this saved me a ton of research
Hello,
I have the same issue here, however, I have tried all the methods mentioned above and in the attached links, but it doesn’t seem to work.
I tried; 1. adjusting the “Near Clip” distance in the Project settings
2. Increasing the mesh “bounds scale” in the skeletal mesh component details
3. Enabled the component use of “Fixed skel bones” under Character mesh details
4. Enabled the use of “Attached Parent Bound”
I even tried moving the camera away from the character, increasing the SpringArm length, and nothing changed.
Is there any other thing that could solve this issue?
Thanks so much!!
Great, that works.
Hoy yeap. Thank’ It solved my problem too!
For those who, for some reason, are using a Spring Arm as support for the camera (FPS) — as is my case
Even setting Use Attach Parent on Mesh the bug is still occurring, it disables the Use Attach Parent on Mesh option and activates it on Spring Arm.
That worked for me. Thank you! What a weird problem.
10 years late and this fix still works. anyone has an idea of why it happens?
it doesn’t work for me it disapperies from my viewport i had tried the bound scale also but still not working
is there any other solution beside these 2 cause both of them are not working for me
I didnt even have a physics actor. created one and it fixed it, TY, 10 years later its still valid!
Thought i’d drop my 2 cents on a check list for those that are having issues with the second solution - “Enabling Use Attach Parent Bound” not working.
It seems like this solution works better when the skeletal mesh that is disappearing is a child of another skeletal mesh (Might work with other things as well). I initially turned it on while it was a child of a empty scene component and my skeletal mesh completely disappeared in the viewport. I then attached it to another skeletal mesh and it reappeared and now works perfect in PIE and packaged game. I’m assuming the parent bounds needs to be valid and large enough so that the child can properly use the parents bounds or something of the sort.
