so im creating a character with hoodie and the light seem pass thru the hood like its not there, logically it should be complete dark in that area.
anyone know how to correct this?
Hey @Indra7777777!
Can you give us more information on how you set up your hoodie model and your lighting settings? For example, does it just happen on that hoodie?
In the meantime, here is a solved forum thread with the same problem as you in case this contains the solution you need:
Any additional specifics you provide may go a long way in solving your problem!
@Quetzalcodename
i used a pretty standard setting for shaders and mesh. nothing specific i think. i tested it on alsv4 scene and the default first person shooter scene, same result. so i dont think the problem is on lighting.
i saw that thread, i did everything in there, nothing works.
here is the content files if anyone want to try : Dropbox - Content.rar - Simplify your life
the hoodie is on “Hoodie” folder
the head is on “Ian” folder
i also tried to merge the head with the hoodie into single mesh, i put it on “Mixed” folder
i found out this has something to do with shadow distance.
when the model is far from the camera,part of the shadow dissapear, but when the camera very close, the shadow fully visible,
far from camera :
close from camera :
so anyone know how to adjust this shadow distance?, at least to make it completely visible from 3rd person view.
