Shadow Rendering in VR Mode is 'offset' in Right Eye

Good day,

I have often noticed that when creating a VR project in UE5, that something ‘just looks off’. With some simple scenes it is not noticeable, but with many scenes, it is very apparent that something is wrong, as if some things are wrong with the depth.

I have not figured out exactly what the problem is - if I close my right eye, everything looks correct and there are no issues. If I close my left eye and compare, it becomes apparent that there are shadows that are rendered only for the right eye and these shadows often, depending on point of view, are offset from the object that casts them, sometimes considerably with a gap between the object and the shadow.

Unfortunately I cannot provide a screenshot since this only happens in VR. Perhaps I can provide a build with this issue if you’ld like one.

Any idea why this would be happening?

Thank you,
Marius.

i hvae the same problem too. i want to know how to solve it.

Me too.
I’m using Distance Field Shadows. If I disable it, the shadows are correct in both eyes, but sharpen.

Same problem! Any solution?

Did you solve it ?
