Shading problem on landscape

For no apparent reason the shadows now look incorrect on the mountains in this scene. I’ve searched the forum and can’t find the issue solved elsewhere. Can anyone help fix it?

  1. how is your lightning setup? (directional light, skylight, fog,…)

  2. are you using dynamic or static lightning?

So if you have dynamic lightning, you could try to remove all lights and put them back in.

The asset developer sent this response which worked:

When you select the Post Processing Volume, in it’s settings there’s a section called “Post Process Materials”. When you expand it you see a material applied. Clicking on the trash can shape would delete the material slot and fix the issue.

As of 4.23 you might need to input a large value for “Start Distance” in Exponential Height Fog settings.
