Setting Nav Area Cost to Zero Freezes Game

Create a custom Nav Area and set its Default Cost to 0.0. Then add that nav area to your map and create a simple AI agent to randomly walk around the map for example. As soon as you click Play, the entire game (and editor) will freeze. Most likely because the AI pathfinding has become stuck on an path with no cost. Now, in reality you probably would never use a nav area with a zero cost, but the engine should at least identify this and throw a warning perhaps rather than just locking up. Haven’t tested this in the 4.19 preview.

Hello,

We’ve recently made a switch to a new bug reporting method using a more structured form. Please visit the link below for more details and report the issue using the new Bug Submission Form. Feel free to continue to use this thread for community discussion around the issue.

Thanks

Hey Sean, I didn’t even know there was a new form for submitting bugs. Is this serious though… a dodgy FormStack form? Really? No feedback, no discussion, no collaboration, no discoverability. Haha, yeah no thanks.
