Havn’t been this excited since I got my first console for christmas as a kid. Looking forward to learning C++ (hopefully a simple transition from C#) and getting stuck in.

Registered almost as soon as I heard Unreal Engine 4 was available. I’ve only spent a little bit of time with older versions of the Unreal Engine, but I’m really excited to play with UE4, especially since the editor runs in OS X.
Im vblanco, from the UDK and UE4 beta test forums. Freelancer coder, with good knowledge of C++ and UE4. Im creating tutorials and porting my old ones to the wiki, learning how to format text for a wiki page.

I haven’t done any testing with UE4 so it’s a completely new experience for me.
Guessing the download servers are getting hammered but just wanted to make sure that it isn’t something my side.
Currently downloading at between 100kb/s and 500kb/s.

Wow, just this morning I was thinking that… “we have no idea when UE4 might become available”. I did not expect to see it today!

Sorry for the delay in replying.
I have a 120MB fibre connection here in the UK, normally I can download at 14-16mb/s.
I’ve tried to download something else to see if it was something on my end but it would appear as though other sources are unaffected and are downloading at my normal speed.

I’ve been active on the UDK forums since around 2010 and I am happy to join again on the UE4.
I’ve been a fan of unreal tournament and epic games in general, this business model is the best I’ve seen and i even thought of doing the same for some of my projects before (pay for source code).
Congratulations, you have shown to be very decent and unreal engine deserves to be the best engine out there, best of luck.
