Summary

Fortnite UEFN project save file corrupted due power outage. Could it be possible to recover the project with private island code?

Steps to Reproduce

Power outage while saving the project. Unexpected computer shutdown while saving a project.

Expected Result

UEFN project save file corruption.

Observed Result

UEFN project save file corruption.

Additional Notes

The given private island code was uploaded before the file became corrupted.

For the power cut try the procedure below

In the Windows Search box type Command
Best match
Command prompt
Right click the icon and select “Run as Administrator”

at the prompt
C:\Windows\System32>
type
chkdsk/scan
This will perform an online scan if there are errors
type
C:\Windows\System32>chkdsk/f

the message appears

C:\Windows\System32>chkdsk/f
The type of the file system is NTFS.
Cannot lock current drive.

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)

Type Y
Now log out and restart your PC
check disk will run and attempt to fix the error

This may have to be tried several times to fix all the errors caused by the power cut

Restart and log into UEFN, see if you have any errors.

If you have errors, use Unreal Revision Control to restore to the last checked in save.

If not then you many have to go back to your last Windows Documents backup
