Engine version: 4.12.5 (though issue is with website)

Detailed description of the issue: Under Gameplay Concept Examples (Samples and Tutorials for Unreal Engine | Unreal Engine 5.1 Documentation) the Turn Based Strategy link is broken or doesn’t exist, etc., leading to this page (https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Videos/PLZlv_N0_O1ga0aV9jVqJgog0VWz1cLL5f/mI7eYXMJ5eI/).

Additional info that is helpful: I was using Mozilla Firefox on my computer, and Chrome on my smartphone, and had the same problem both times.

Those links are definitely broken. I fixed them locally and they should be fixed online shortly.

Thanks for pointing this out!

As of now I’m getting the same error (same browsers used - Mozilla Firefox on computer and Chrome on smartphone), just a heads up.

The links on the page should all be working now.

Hi, 0lento. You’re right, that’s incorrect, despite the markup being correct in the latest .h file. Some updates are being made to our API documentation, and we’ll check this issue specifically when the new code is up and running on our side. Thanks for pointing it out!

Engine version: 4.12.5

Links to Training streams on the bottom of page aren’t working, they redirect to the same page.

Thanks for pointing this out. We’ll get those fixed ASAP.

Interfaces in Unreal Engine | Unreal Engine 5.1 Documentation

The documentation explains how to declare, how to implement but not explains how to call interface.

Thanks for the feedback. Seems like a good bit of info to add. We will schedule this to be worked on.

Engine Version:. 4.13.0

Article Link: https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Physics/Collision/index.html

**Detailed description of the issue: **Dead link

In the UE4 documentation: Full topic list: Engine Features : Physics Simulation : Collision - the “Collision Response Reference” link has been lost

Engine Version : 4.13.1

Article Link : FGenericPlatformTypes | Unreal Engine Documentation

**Detailed Description of the issue **: Wrong datatype description.
All the datatype typedefs have their descriptions mixed up, for example the int types:

int16 has “8-bit signed.” as description. Shouldn’t that be “16-bit signed.”?
int32 has “16-bit signed.” as description. Shouldn’t that be “32-bit signed.”?
int64 has “32-bit signed.” as description. Shouldn’t that be “64-bit signed.”?
int8 has “64-bit unsigned.” as description. Shouldn’t that be “8-bit signed.”?

uint16 has “8-bit unsigned.” as description. Shouldn’t that be “16-bit unsigned.”?
uint32 has “16-bit unsigned.” as description. Shouldn’t that be “32-bit unsigned.”?
uint64 has “32-bit unsigned.” as description. Shouldn’t that be “64-bit unsigned.”?
uint8 has “Unsigned base types.” as description. Shouldn’t that be “8-bit unsigned.”?

All the other entries on that page are also mixed up, like

ANSICHAR has “64-bit signed.” as description, should be “An ANSI character - 8-bit fixed-width representation of 7-bit characters.”

And so on…

Thank you for pointing that out. A fix has been submitted, so it should show up once it works its way through.

Engine version: 4.13
Type of issue: Outdated/Incomplete information
**
Detailed description of the issue**: There is a quite useful piece of info missing regarding two material expressions namely, ObjectPositionWS
and TransformPosition.

These nodes can be used to get Per Instance position and transform for Instanced Static Meshes, if they are passed through custom UVs.
I’ve came across several answer hub posts, where users were unaware how to get position of each instance in material.

TypoUE4.png
Found some typos in the tutorial for the Environment.

There is an incorrect image placed on the distance attenuation explanation page :

In the section labeled “Example of several Min/ settings for Attenuation Logarithmic” there are 4 images showing how the curve changes depending on the ratio of Min and . The second image is a duplicate of the third image, but the second image should be showing a different curve than it currently is.

Hey this old tutorial about vehicles in UE4 is missing a small step

https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Physics/Vehicles/VehicleUserGuide/index.html

More info on the missing step:

Thank you

Engine version: 4.14.2

Detailed description of the issue: Missing necessary step in Setting the Default Pawn Class part. Before playing, I must drag a BP_FPSCharacter blueprint class into the level editor, otherwise I can’t start it with BP_FPSCharacter as my default pawn.

Screenshots: N/A.

Additional info that is helpful: I found that if I drag a BP_FPSCharacter blueprint class into the level editor, the red text will be displayed as this document says, but the default pawn still isn’t BP_FPSCharacter. Strange thing is, I restart the whole solution and engine, then it just works fine. My operating system is Windows 10 Professional 1607(14393.576) updated from a Windows 8.1.

Engine version: 4.14.3

Detailed description of the issue: Wrong installation path written in documentation: “Locate the file in your UE4 install, typically under UE4/Engine/Extras/Maya_AnimationRiggingTools.”

Screenshots: N/A.

Additional info that is helpful: The actual installation path: …\Engine\Plugins\Marketplace\ARTv1\MayaTools

NB!!! Into documentation https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/API/Runtime/AnimGraphRuntime/BoneControllers/FABRIKChainLink/index.html , link at http://andreasaristidou.com/publications/FABRIK.pdf NOT EXIST ! It’s authors page has the list his works only, and redirected at PAID a service. I think better give anything other.
