Hello everybody and thanks for helping. I am trying to render a video, in this case “placeholder” automotive rims. As u can see i come to an issue that i get fireflies which i cant get rid of. I am rendering everything in Path Tracer.
Thanks for your answer!! Yes, i have the same problem in lumen. Unfortunately I have to render in PT and it’s not really fireflies but always the sun that is reflected in something and then freaks out like this. I noticed that if I render Lumen without antialiasing in the movie render queue, the flickering is gone. As soon as I add the anti-aliasing setting, it’s there again.
Anti-aliasing should make that problem better and not worse. How come you have to use the PT to render? High end lumen often yields just as good results in most cases.
Hey @comlys , no I only use sky and sun… when I delete the anti aliasing setting completely in MRQ then the fireflies/flickering are gone. In lumen and in pathtrace. But I can’t use it because I have to tell unreal how much samples I need to render. It is very strange. I am now on holiday but when I come back I can make a sample Scene and make screenshots that you know what I am talking about.
Hey @jblackwell I work as a 3d artist in the automotive industry and I have to render in pathtrace for better results. And again this problem is not really fireflies. More flickering of the sun disc in reflective objects. Edges of the car or rim edges for example. And when I delete the anti aliasing part in the MRQ the flickering is completely gone. This is so strange… I am now on holiday when I come back I can share more screenshots that everyone knows more what I mean. Thanks for your help dude appreciate
