Summary
Creating a release for my island in the Creator Portal fails the “Experimental features” check with: “You can’t publish your island while the following experimental features are enabled: Experimental settings in editor”. No experimental features are enabled in the project.

What Type of Bug are you experiencing?
Publishing
Steps to Reproduce
- Open the project in UEFN 42.40. Project Settings > Experimental Access: everything is unchecked (Scene Graph Animation, Scene Graph Experimental Features incl. all camera components, Reflect UE Redirectors into Verse Manifest, Enable Control Rigs in Verse).
- Python Editor Scripting and UEFN MCP Toolsets are disabled.
- Upload a new private version.
- In the Creator Portal, create a release from this version.
- The release check fails at “Experimental features”.
- Same result on a duplicated project (Project Browser > Duplicate the Project, new private version uploaded from the copy).
Expected Result
The release passes the “Experimental features” check, because no experimental features are enabled in the project.
Observed Result
The check fails with: “You can’t publish your island while the following experimental features are enabled: Experimental settings in editor”.
Verse check and In-Island Transactions check pass. Local Validate Project shows no errors.
The “experimental” section of the .uefnproject file only contains:
“sceneGraph”: { “bIsSceneGraphSystemAllowed”: true, “bEnableOneFilePerEntity”: false }
“DefaultPawn”: { “bUseDefaultCharacter”: true }
Adding “sceneGraphExperimentalFeatures”: { “bAreSceneGraphExperimentalFeaturesAllowed”: false } (forum workaround) does not help: UEFN 42.40 removes this block when the project is opened.
No experimental devices in the level and no experimental Verse APIs in the code.
