Hey Defused, I’m really excited for the new update, but I have two problems.
First of all, I always fail horribly when I try to make my grass look like your demos. For some reason it always looks ugly… Can you by any chance help me set it up to look good?
Second… Well, I think we’re missing some stuff. In the demo scene you included there is tons of assets (like “Woodland_GrassPatch_2”) that are actually not in my meshes folder. Am I missing something in mechanics, or am I missing assets…?

Sorry to hear you’re having problems with the pack, I’m not quite sure what you mean by missing meshes there should be 6 of each grass type. As far a it not looking good could you give me more info on your lighting setup as this can affect foliage alot, making sure your using a skylight will give a much better look in both static and dynamic lighting situations.

Interesting pack will buy it. Just wondering would you be interested to pack all textures into atlas (only 1 seasonal, so winter only, or normal only)? I noticed you plan to make more plants and flowers, packing them in atlas would reduce drawcalls a lot especially considering that one would usually want to paint some additional flowers next to normal grass.
This is something we will be implementing in a future to reduce the pack size as well as improve performance!
Do you have perhaps any aprox release date for new updates to pack (new plants)?
We are currently working on other projects at the moment but adding additional types is on the to do list, hopefully this month there will be a new content update!

@Defuse_Studios are you deleting your latest post and re-posting it multiple times? I ask because I’ve received multiple emails for the same message about 3-4 times now over the last 2 or so weeks…
And if so I assume you’re doing this for 1 of 3 reasons:
- You want to make sure that people get your announcement that the release notes are now all listed on your website and that in fact you have a website dedicated to your asset pack to begin with.
- There is a bug in the forums/vBulletin
- You’re trying to remain on the 1st page of the Forum>Unreal Engine>Marketplace sub-forums (wags finger) (I see what you did there).
