"Publishing Error" in Creator Portal on a FIRST-EVER release

Summary

“Publishing Error” in Creator Portal on a FIRST-EVER release, but the content
review approval email arrives afterward. The island has never gone live, so no
island code exists yet.

This looks like the same failure as FORT-1084657 and the report at

Important difference: existing reports are all about UPDATES to already-published
islands, and one poster suspects brand-asset switching (Star Wars / Squid Game)
as the cause. My case has neither — this project has never been published, and it
has never used or removed any brand assets. That may help narrow the root cause.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Push the project from UEFN (v[XX.XX]). Publishing Report passes with no issues.
  2. In Creator Portal, create the first release from that private version.
  3. Fill in Game Details / Rating and submit for content review.
  4. Creator Portal shows a publishing error.
  5. Receive an email stating the version passed content review / was approved.
  6. Creator Portal remains in the error state. The island never goes live and no
    island code is issued.

Expected Result

The approved release goes live and an island code is issued for the project.

Observed Result

Creator Portal stays in an error state despite the approval email.
The island has never been published, so there is no island code to provide.

Additional Notes

  • This is the FIRST release attempt for this project (never published before).
  • No brand / IP assets have ever been added or removed in this project.
  • Approval email received at [2026-07-31 11:18 JST], [2026-07-31 13:23 JST], [2026-07-31 21:21 JST]. 3 times each publishing
  • Already tried: creating a new private version, changing the version number,
clearing browser cache, switching browsers — no effect.
  • Screenshots attached: Creator Portal error state, approval email header.

this island has never been successfully published. No island code exists.
Please identify the project by:

  • Project ID: b4693f16-4136-7475-5769-1e8461b3904d
  • Project name: Week04 or Dear Detective
  • Creator display name: ziver00

Adding a possible common factor: my project makes heavy use of NPCs (NPC Spawner devices / NPC character definitions).
Another report today ( Publishing Error ( urgent please help ) ) lists “add npc → run memory calculation → create release” as the repro steps. Combined with my case (first-ever release, no brand assets, NPC-heavy), NPC content may be a better lead than the brand-switching theory.
