We are currently using Chase Paymentech as our sole payment provider around the world. They are the global leader for credit card processing, and we chose them as our first provider due to providing the widest global coverage and reach. They also have been amazing to work with

Chase Paymentech has a very bad reputation

I tried 3 different Card and a Verified Visa from different banks without success,
sorry I’m not coming back until You change Your payment system.

Hi Folks, we are very sorry about the trouble with authorizing some regional bank cards (either credit or debit). We are aware of the and have started the work to integrate with other providers who can process local/regional payment methods. PayPal is the next provider we are integrating and we will announce as soon as it is ready.

I know you’re working on paypal. Just add me to the list of people waiting for  Thanks.

We are working on getting a Paypal system in place within the next few iterations. Thank you for your feedback!

Glad to hear. I’m looking forward to use UE4!

Tried three different credit/debit (in the UK) cards today with no luck, always getting the same ‘We were unable to process your payment, please check your details.’

Not great really.

Add me to the folks who are still waiting for the PayPal payment integration.

+1, hope we don’t have to wait too long. In Germany CCs are rather uncommon…

I’m also having the same problem… “We were unable to process your payment, please check your details.” - Visa Debit (UK).

+1 waiting for Paypal Support

What is the exact position re paypal?? If not now, when?

R

I’m also waiting for paypal, as I don’t like credit cards.

Same here… desperately waiting for paypal

Hi ,

We are very eager to open up payment options by PayPal, and we are working out the details to make a reality as soon as we can manage it. We will be sure to announce when PayPal is an option.

Cheers

, I for one am very disappointed is taking long sort out. Paypal payment is not rocket science to implement/deploy on any site these days. Legals can take a bit of time if non standard terms are required. But come on guys! Can you at least ‘throw us a bone’ and say whether we are to wait days, weeks or months? Sorry to vent my frustration so openly, but I believe it needs to be said.

Sorry it’s been taking so long :frowning: Our current estimate is mid-June and I’ll try to update the thread in case changes.

There are some issues with banks using non-ISO compliant characters for names.

We had a report of a user in Poland who ran into an where their name was represented in non-latin characters on the bank’s side. The problem is our web form and backend only support latin characters, which is causing the card to be rejected.

While we applaud proper handling of names in a global world, neither the ISO standard, nor we are ready for that yet :-/
[/]

About non standard characters in names, solution is simple: put instead common character “ł” -> “l”, “ś” -> “s” etc. - works with Mastercard

cheers form Poland

  • 1 for paypal here. Strangely i have been paying the first months until my credit card has been denied the payment. I checked my bank account, then checked the card bills to see if there was unauthorized charges, nothing, two days later i made a purchase higher than ue4 monthly fee, all went well. Saw posts in other game forums saying even if the card is ok, some of them decline ue4, one person said it was because it could charge unknown amount on your card, thats why the card operator declines, now im afraid i order again and they block my card for “security measures”. So just waiting for paypal lets hope june it will be ok.

Apart from +1 for PayPal support, what are the chances to reduce the amount we have to pay if we are forced to pay in Euros? I mean, we essentially pay about 35% more than those who are allowed to pay in USD.

I can certainly see how our pricing as displayed on the site can create the perception of 1 EUR == 1 USD.

The fine print is that the EUR price includes VAT (which I believe is up to 27% depending on territory) whereof with USD customers it is exclusive of VAT and based on location is tagged on at the end. A common sales tax in the US is around 7%.
