Other Creative maps work fine during this time
Reinstalling Fortnite allows them to play Rocket Wars again, but the issue reoccurs after ~20 minutes
Switching rendering modes (DirectX 11, 12, Performance) did not resolve the issue
We’ve reviewed game logs and replays but haven’t found a clear cause
hi @OniZach ,
Island 5196-0233-5799 works on Samsung Android very well, Nintendo Switch 1 works, Xbox One x works. Android Phone over 30 minutes, tried Teleports to different team games all over, killed many times still in games.
Therefore its a PC problem.
My best guess is the anti virus checker is seeing part of the Fortnite games and isolating them as virus parts, or there is a virus on PC and its not been detected.
The Easy Anti cheat detector is detecting corruption and throwing them out.
Consoles are not affected.
During the game on console a big black blank screen comes up and then the games restarts.
Oh yes tested on 36.30 so its not version dependant
I would’ve also assumed it would be their anti-virus or something else on their PC causing it but they can play any other creative island just fine without issue, it’s only Rocket Wars.
I’ve asked one of the players if they have any third-party anti virus software installed and they do not, just Windows Defender, but to be sure I’m having them do a Full Scan, then if no results, turn it off and seeing if the issue persists (they need to reinstall Fortnite again first which may take a bit). Will reply here with results.
Hi @OniZach ,
Just opened a Rocket Racing Epic Island and now my PC/laptop is running low on memory space, the reason is reduced Virtual Memory, now Rocket Racing Epic Islands get a problem running low on virtual memory.
Now put the Page file back to 32GB and working smoothly again
Under Windows 11, there was a problem where when the disk became full, the disk structure could have errors remaining. This can be fixed by opening the Windows command shell,l right-clicking and running as administrator
C:> chkdsk /f/r C:
Now restart the PC, and the disk is scanned for errors and fixes any errors.
This applies to ALL Windows versions.
