After a while some player’s movement will start to glitch/stagger and while this is happening they will not be able to use any items in their inventory or use glider redeploy.

Character
Steps to Reproduce
Players will randomly start to get this after 5-10 min of gameplay. It’s not consistent.
Expected Result
Player movement should remain fluid and behave normal.
Observed Result
On a new map we are testing players will randomly start to get movement that is glitchy/staggering. It almost feels like the movement drops to 5 fps or something. When this happens the player cannot use any items or use glider redeploy. If they get eliminated and respawn it goes back to normal and also sometimes the player can get it to go back to normal by having someone slide into them or by trying to jump and move over and over but not always.
We cannot figure out what is causing this issue. It does not happen to all players. It never happens at the start of the game. We are using up to 90 NPCs that don’t walk in the map. We are also using about 15 different mutator zones to control movement for the players. We have not seen any correlation to the zones or the NPCs and the movement glitching. The glitch does appear to happen more so after the players either are moving or jumping / mantling. We are not using any player movement devices.
If anyone has had similar problems or suggestions, we’d love to know!

Additional Notes
We also noticed that after 5-10min the NPCs will start to spawn in very slowly. About twice as slow as they normally do. Again, it’s not consistent, once they spawn in slow it might happen every few rounds but not every time. We have not noticed a link between the player glitch and the slow NPC spawns but we’re not ruling it out.
We have tested with players on different consoles and PC. It can happen to them all at different times. I know that this is one of those things that will be hard to nail down. It’s been really hard to test and troubleshoot for us because it never happens at the start and we never know when it will start to happen. Sometimes we think we fixed it and then it will just start to happen after a while.
I’m just hoping other people have experienced something similar and might have a suggestion.
No worries Flak! I didn’t put down a code as it usually takes a long time for us to ever see the issue so we didn’t want anyone to waste their time testing for a few minutes for no reason. We’ve been continuing to test and troubleshoot on our end. I’ll report back if we find any solutions. I was mostly curious if anyone else had experienced any similar issues.
A video would be nice + maybe a few min before it happens. Without the video it is hard to know if you are talking about the phasing issue which may happen on jump or the animation issue where shaking effect is following the player or entirely different issue.
Not sure if related, but this happens when glider redeploy comes into contact with a scene graph entity which sporadically results in this broken movement. Agreed that this stuck state can be interrupted with swimming or sometimes a player-to-player slide collision.
3875-6838-4407 is the live map code. Here is a video showing stuttering. It’s hard to see but while this is occurring the player is unable to use any items in their inventory. The view is normal when the player is not moving and just looking around. But any player movement causes the stutter which almost feels like a collision stutter when two players are hitting each other.
If the player is eliminated it clears up the issue. Rarely, it will clear up on its own.
