Player movement very glitched and stuttered

I think it is the same bug as this Players Stuck and Teleporting after 25.00

It says 25.00 but I think it is actually 25.10, but it was reported first.

@latunda I think youā€™re right. Sure looks exactly the same. So many people are experiencing it.

Votes are split across two entries, I wish recently logged bugs were reviewed before new are submitted. Or better ai should suggest if it is likely the same issue.

What if you change the scale to 1?

I agree. I did search but didnā€™t see that post and the title didnā€™t seem to be the same when just looking at it. I hope as long as everyone is actually submitting a bug report through UEFN it will get noticed. I donā€™t think the forum posts are the main way Epic sees the reports. I think Iā€™ve seen 3 or 4 posts which are probably the same issue.

Someone from the support live chat told me that the forum is actually the good way to report an issue and get help from staff, I donā€™t think thatā€™s a good design decision but I donā€™t make the rules.

I feel like Iā€™m also having a misbehaving round 1 on my island (private version only), it used to glitch for 3 rounds (in v25.0) now it only glitches for the first round :+1:

@im_a_lama Thatā€™s good to know about the forum. Maybe they want everybody to submit a formal bug report to get more specific data on each issue.

I ended up using a round device to end round 1 right away to hope to avoid the issue on my map. I just added one extra round to the game. I donā€™t know if it fixed it yet as it doesnā€™t always show up for me so itā€™s really hard for me to test. It is fully published so Iā€™ll just keep on testing. Iā€™ll be happy when it is fixed and I can just keep round one, though.

Well, Iā€™m unhappy to report that I just got out of a game that was in round 2 of 4 and I was completely glitching, the same as before. Tried a few other games and was glitching on those as well. Not sure if I went through all of the trouble of skipping round 1 for no reason or if it just started happening again. Not sure. So. Very. Frustrating.

UPDATE:

I went through and converted all of my FN assets to moveable meshes in the detail tab (about 400). Now some of them disappear when testing the map. (a few different random ones) This is game breaking as they are part of the landscape. I am also getting the moving rubber banding, which isnā€™t as bad as the previous movement bug but still visually annoying.

I really hope Epic fixes this bug when they get back. Itā€™s been breaking maps for weeks now. I canā€™t even count the hours Iā€™ve spent trying to resolve this.

Having the same issue on our game. Seems like a lot of users are experiencing this issue on their maps. Makes our map unplayable. Only ā€œfixā€ is to instantly end round 1 as soon as it starts but it seems the issue is still there for people who join late. No idea how this MAJOR bug is still there after 20+ days. Any news on this Epic?

So I did figure out that when set to moveable the props can get destroyed in game if they are close to a rail. The same way that a build gets destroyed during a game. I ended up replacing a bunch of the assets with my own custom ones to fix that issue and also to reduce the amount of areas that have the rubber banding movement.

In case people are still following this thread, I just wanted to let everyone know that you can change multiple assets to ā€˜moveableā€™ at the same time by selecting them all and right-clicking on one of them to get this menu:

Select ā€˜Edit Components in the Property Matrixā€™ > ā€˜StaticMeshComponentā€™

And then in the details tab you can select ā€˜moveableā€™.

That will change the setting for all selected assets. Itā€™s good to check a few individually to make sure the change went through.
