Goodday,
I was wondering if it is possible to create a pixel light source in ue4. And if there’s somewhat of a tutorial available which I could use to make this.
Thanks.

Ah yes sorry, maybe I should’ve eleborated.
I mean that I want to re-create this light from the reference picture:
So instead of the normal light (for example spotlight), which I have now on my character:
I want the light look like the first image. If you get what I mean?
That might not be an actual light, it could just be a pixelated texture
Yeah, sorry, I understand that haha. I would just like to know if there’s any tutorial or something that could help me make this.
Gotcha, thanks for the images!
The word you’re looking for is ‘color-banding’ (Which can be accomplished through a post-process material)
If you can get it implemented please update us with pic!
Thanks!
I’ll see if I can figure it out so I can send you that picture
So what I did now was follow this guy’s tutorial:
Because he had the lighting effect that I was looking for only then applied to everything. I was hoping to find a solution to only apply it to lighting in my game but so far no luck.
Also, I’m either really stupid or didn’t follow the tutorial right but it is showing this:
The light turns out white while everything else is black.
So right now I need some help figuring out what I did wrong and help with making the effect only apply to my lighting.
I did the settings he explained as well:
