Particle not showing in-game

I’m having issues getting particles to show up in-game. Under rendering it’s ticked to visible and Actor Hidden In Game is unticked. Am I missing something, it is in a separate level thats layered over the main level but this shouldn’t effect it as other things on the level are showing. It shows up in the editor but not in game.

Is this happening to a custom particle system or are you using one that comes with the editor? And does it work in the other level or in a new level/project?

You’ve checked the most likely cause with the toggles you mentioned above. Another possibility is if you have lit particles, you can set your lighting up in such a way that it could cause what your seeing, but that’s a pretty rare occurrence. You have to go out of your way to do it.

Also, could you post a screenshot or two of your particle system and it’s setup?

Maybe i can refresh the topic. - have similar problem as the Brammerton.

I use strategygame’s hammer and same template.

Ok so i found something interesting, when i move particle emitter in scene the ribbon trail is showing on hammer’s socket location. but when hammer is moving ribbon is not showing up.

Brammertron’s particle system is visible in the perspective viewport but not visible while playing. Your issue seems to be a bit different. Could you post another question for you issue and we can troubleshoot it there?

I’m having the same problem. I replicated the contentexample’s particle on a spline and that only shows up in the editor, not when launching the game. It would be nice to know what’s wrong

This issue was from back in version 4.2 of the editor, so most likely the cause of your issue is completely different. Could you post this as a new question in the Rendering section and post a link to it here?

Make sure to include as much info as you can (reproduction steps, screenshots, etc.)



So i seem to be getting this problem where the particles render in the viewport, but not ingame. Under rendering it’s ticked to visible and Actor Hidden In Game is unticked.
The clouds are a bit modified version of the smoke in the startercontent and the raindrops are made from scrach.
i’m using version 4.14.0
