When I package my project, my map is not updating to the newest build. There is an old build -somewhere- that is still being packaged rather than the most recent. I’ve tried:
- building lighting only
- doing a full build
- Checking the “Force full rebuild” box in project settings
- Deleting the package destination folder
- Deleting the Saved, Intermediate, and Binaries folders
- Deleting my LIGHTS, rebuilding and repackaging.
None of this has changed the build that ends up in the packaged build.
What is going on?
Hi Tiskahar,
Please try the following:
- In your Project folder, delete the Intermediate, Saved, and Config folders (not Binaries)
- In the Content Browser, Content folder, right-click and select “Fix Up Redirectors in Folder”
- Rebuild All
- Save All
- Package
*Make sure a “clone” does not exist in your “Unreal Projects” folder.
If it still does not work, locate and post the entire package log here in a text file.

Hi Tiskahar,
Since we have not heard back from you in a few days, we are closing this post as “resolved” for tracking purposes. However, if you continue to have an issue with your package not including the latest build/version of the map, please respond with the requested information above and we will continue to investigate.
Thanks,
