Out of memory crash UEFN - Never seen this before

Summary

A white window popup that the system run out of memory popped up and UEFN closed after that. I didn’t have a chance to take a photo of the message or know a repro, but I did manage to grab the UEFN logs after that (attached).

Is this the one that says out of video memory ? I keep getting that now and ive noticed my UEFN uses +22gb ram starts small at maybe 10-12gb then keeps going up then eventually if i leave it without doing anything for like 30 mins it closes and says out of video memory

Yeah thats what happened to me too. I had it on the background then it randomly crashed

Yea ive noticed that for a week or so but mainly only when i leave it on and go out or something.

I recently upgraded my ram due to Fortnite and UEFN taking a combined +30gb at the max ive noted but since the upgrade i have 128gb so again its not causing me any issues but something is wrong i think its a memory leak potentially although i cnt confirm as i dnt know how to replicate it. All i know is that it slowly creeps up over time and project is irrelevant i think its on any project

I have a 4060ti 16gb and i am not fully educated on what uses video memory ect so i cnt diagnose myself but will vote this and provide any info if required

Hopefully the logs from the post help spot what caused it, fingers crossed

Did you end up fixing this? I’ve been having the same issue

A possible fix is increasing the size of your Windows paging file.
Windows manages it, and if your system is really good will set it to a smaller paging file size.
Sometimes if your hard drive is getting full it will decrease the size of it as well.

Change it to custom and make it as big as you can.

Best results from setting it’s size to a few hundred gigabytes on a SSD hard drive used only for the paging file.

hi @celestia ,
This is because there is not enough Virtual Memory.
Follow this procedure in this post to manually add more like 64GB (6400), try 32GB first.

Epic fixed the initial memory leak, but seems the problem has returned. This time though, my PC is not affected, so I can’t repro.

Already did this and it did not fix the issue. My page file memory is not even really being used

Hi @celestia @Flak
You need to start a new Bug Report thread as this is years old and wont be actioned by Epic support
