Alright guys, I’ve placed the builds for Orbit 4.12 and 4.13 up for sale on Gumroad! Here’s a link: Orbit: Weather & Seasons Suite
And here’s a video to get you started. The first 14 minutes are general setup to migrate the blueprint into your project, the remaining hour is an in depth look into every parameter in the system:
If you don’t wanna use Gumroad, I’m still going through the submission process with Epic to get it on the UE4 marketplace.
Send me an email, I will verify your purchase and send you the 4.13 version. @gmail.com
As for the material function, the fix for it is in the getting started video, I will remedy the download version to keep that error from occurring this evening.
Hey just a heads up to anyone who bought Orbit today, you may be experiencing a landscape shader error and/or some performance issues with constructing lightning. I’m uploading a fixed build right now, if Gumroad tries charging you for downloading just email me at @gmail.com and I’ll prove your purchase and send the files.
I’m very tempted to buy it on Gumroad, but I think it is better to wait for the marketplace, just to have everything UE4 “under one roof”
I hope to have it in my hands soon!
While this is true, I want to express that I don’t mind where you guys choose to buy it from, and that I’ll be updating and supporting the product and those who purchase it on both platforms.
Just to let you know @, you can submit multiple files for one product on gumroad, meaning you could have both the 4.12 and 4.13 versions under the same product. Then your customers can pick which ones to download, rather than you having to verify purchases and such all the time.
So, if I’ve understood everything correctly, this system currently only works with dynamic lighting. Would it be at all possible to also introduce the option to use a fixed time of day with static sun and moon positions (in other words: sacrifice the day/night cycle) so the clouds, weather effects and volumetric lighting can be used with baked lighting?
I can try it and see if it works, I honestly haven’t touched light baking in a long time. I’ll give it a go this evening and let you know the results, I don’t see why it couldn’t work but I don’t wanna give any false info
Bought this and I’m very satisfied. Nice work. I’m going to put together a demo in the neat future of something I’m working on and this will be one of the features, along with VXGI. Cheers!
