Hi there!
I have been struggling for days now with a very strange lighting issue and it would be great to get your help:
As you see in the image below I’m animating a scene looking into a small courtyard. The camera is moving sideways. The wall in the background has two corners and there are some columns visible in the front. Now comes the problem: whenever a column moves over one of the corners in the background one side of the corner gets a change of light for about 2-3 frames. After the column has moved further the effect is gone and the lighting/shadow is correct.
This issue causes a kind of flashlight effect in the specific areas for a few frames which looks weird and is not useable for the film production I’m working for.
But now comes the strange thing: when I set the columns to invisible the effect in the background is gone. So the columns are somehow effecting the lighting/shadow in the back. I tried to adapt/disable auto-exposure, shadow quality and much more but the effect stays there as long as the columns are visible.
Can anybody help me with that problem?
I’m usinf UE 5.1 with UltraDynamicSky
Many Thanks!!!
