You are not alone

There are many creators who are facing the same issue. Hopefully we get a solution soon.

The status of FORT-761663 incident has been moved from ‘Needs Triage’ to ‘Needs More Info’.

@AJ_Lakeman are you still getting this? If yes, could you provide us with some additional repro steps? We’re unable to reproduce it here.

Thank you!

I’m with that error also. There is no reason for the connection error. It started yesterday around 5pm BRT with one map. When I tried to open the Amazon one that I’m working on, I couldn’t start the session with the same error.

Thank you all for the report. This will be fixed in a future update.

@Flak it might be anything about unknown reference or such thing? Because we reverted to an earlier version of map and we are able to connect. Moreover, we had a moderation issue that we simply don’t know what was until we decided to revert version.

Hi @Flak, thanks for the response.

From my own tests it appears that the disconnection was caused by an async function remaining active for too long after a game is ended, which causes a timeout and disconnection from the server.

To get around this issue, I now have events that are signalled when the game ends. The spawned functions now include a race condition that allows them to break out if my ‘game ended’ event is received.

I was working under the incorrect assumption that the game ending would force all of these functions to be forcefully ended by the server itself. Since using this new method I have not encountered any further crashes. There are still occasions where I’m unable to do a fast iteration/automatic reload as the race condition can sometimes take a second or 2 to process, but it just puts me back into edit mode and I can start the game fine from there.

Hi @Flak , @MarcosRocha,
This is the same error in the thread
Constantly Logging HTTP Failure on Port 443: libcurl error: 28 (Timeout was reached) - General / Issues and Bug Reporting - Epic Developer Community Forums (unrealengine.com)

Okay. For you all… We rolled back the project to a working point. I suspect that the error was caused by broken textures or materials. The same error ocurred in other project I was working for and I could see that the error was some assets I had imported. I suggest you guys to check newer assets.
