Could you guys make a cheaper multi-use commercial license? I think this plugin looks great but I’m not paying $100 for something I’m only allowed to use once.
My mails are bouncing back from Support and Carlos.
Please solve my issue.
this is some bad lighting or neofur settings are messed up. This is the complex material.

@IronBoundManzer - I’ve replied to your email. We’ll need a little more information to help.
@NorseHorse1492 - Have you had a chance to look at our enterprise license? Depending on how many projects you plan to release this might be a more economical solution. We’re constantly looking at our licensing offerings and trying to find the best compromise between the keeping NeoFur accessible to as many people as possible and still allowing us to innovate further.
@Architect3D - I just did a test on my own in deleting the plugin from our demo scene and didn’t have any issues. What version of the engine are you using?
–Pete
@peet808 Prease NeoFur for Unreal Engine 4.14.
I just started a new project, to avoid the issues. Could you answer my second question. What causes the license to expire. cooking the game, or releasing to public for sale, how does it work, again not clear on your support page
Aabs Inc. - We just have a few final things we’re testing and are pushing to have it out before the end of the day.
@Architect3D - Sorry I missed the question the first time: Your license is considered used when you ship/deliver your project.
NeoFur 2.1 is now available and support Unreal 4.14
As alluded to earlier…
NeoFur for Unreal 2.1 is now available!!
To get the latest, go to https://www.neoglyphic.com/neofur/download armed with your email and license key or just go to the download like that you received from us when you purchased NeoFur.
From our Changelog:
V2.1.355 - Build 355 11/18/16Features
- Console compute shader support for PS4 and One
- 4.14 support
- As of this build, the master materials for NeoFur have been moved into the plugin download from the Demo Content.
- What This Means: if you plan to use the demo content, you’ll need to download it fresh. If you don’t want to use the Demo Content, you’ll still have the master materials available to you.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug with tick groups with complex animations
Known Issues
- No Linux support in 4.14 …yet

Native PS4 Support?
Aabs Inc. - Done
To avoid issues with upgrades to the plugin, Neoglyphic should examine how Quixel Suite handles patching its own stuff…
Quixel’s tools run entirely in PhotoShop and open the application, but has a shortcut on the desktop, with a separate launcher to more properly display a changelog and a feature to cleanly update. If you don’t have the plugin installed, or you can’t update via the desktop shortcut, each build also has a version of the launcher to correct this.
thank you for your answers peet. I have a bug to report. when attaching neofur component to head socket within the head bone of my character. (for possible use with short hair without re skinning), the hair rendering flickers on and off when camera get within a meter. could you guys fix this problem?
@Hyncharas - We’ll take a look. Thanks for the suggestion.
@Architect3D - Thanks for the report. I’ve logged it with our lead dev and he’s taking a look.

“Enterprise” sounds too expensive, and I’d assume you need to be a big company to buy it. I’d honestly be willing to pay a subscription fee, if I can get unlimited uses.

I got your NeoFur Plugin 2 weeks ago and can’t say enough good things about it. Truly amazing work. I had 2 questions though:
- The fur Material doesn’t seem to receive shadows from a stationary directional light (e.x. if I walk under the shadow of a tree). It works with movable and static lighting just fine but not Stationary directional lights. Is this a known bug or have I messed something up on my end?
- Can I upgrade from an indie license to a pro for support or am I required to purchase a separate pro license?
Thanks for the help and good job with this plugin.
@sanford87 -
#1 - Great question! I don’t know think we’ve ever tested it. We’ll take a look and get back to you.
#2 - We can give you credit for your indie license towards your Pro license. just email us at NeoFur at neoglyghic.com to get you sorted.

@peet808 , Thanks for the quick reply. I had one more question: Is there anything unique I need to do to get the plugin working with a source build of the Unreal Engine. I’ve tried a number of projects with both UE 4.14.0 and 4.14.1 without any luck. I get the notification about the shaders needing to be rebuilt but it always fails. I just wasn’t sure if there was an extra step needed. Thanks again for the help.
@sanford87 - With the way UE works, anything outside of the stock compiled engines requires the plugins to be compiled as well. We provide the source code to be able to do this with our Pro license. As I mentioned before, if you’re interested we can give you credit for your Indie license towards a Pro license. Email us at NeoFur at neoglyghic.com to get you sorted.

Whilst I have no plans to get NeoFur for Unity (but Enterprise later), I have seen a helluva lot of ads for the plugin recently
