@JBernhelm - I’ve logged it and flagged it for our lead dev. I’ll try and get some status back tomorrow. Which build of the plugin are you using? @Pior & @Hyncharas - re: presets. We’ve chatted about this internally a few times and I don’t have a solid answer for the near term. I’ll circle around on this and try to get something clear and defined by the end of the week.
Two quick announcements.
We’ve released a very minor update (build 335) which addresses 2 small bugs. The download link we sent you for v2.0 will let you grab this.
@peet808 Thank you for the follow-up Peet. My specific case is that of a character for the marketplace which will likely come in two flavors : one with and one without Neofur. So in a sense this is quite self-explanatory : the end user will need to have the plugin installed to display the NF version. As soon as I have it all ready to ship I’ll make sure top post again here to double check the wording and disclaimer with you guys.
@Pior - Sounds good. I got confirmation this afternoon. The policy is pretty simple: you just can’t redistribute anything that shipped with NeoFur: plugin, shaders, content, etc.
@JBernhelm
The word is that this could be caused by an unclean upgrade from an older version of the plugin. You may need to remove any old temp files in the project directory and see if that helps. You could also test with a completely fresh project and see if that works as it should.

Hi, need help with the basics. how to download new update? where to log in after purchase at neofur website? add neofur component to test mesh without growth mesh, add tiger material, editor crashes.
@Architect3d - If you were a v1.0 user you should have received an email on September 21st on how to download the update. If you’ve purchased since then you should have received an email at purchase time. The link in either of those emails will allow you to download the latest version. If you haven’t received the email, either contact us on the support forum (support.neoglyphic.com) or email us at NeoFur at neoglyphic.com.
I have the full pro version and can compile for ps4, but running on the ps4 dev kit gives a crash. The same codebase runs with neofur removed. Do you have any extra steps for running on the ps4? I can give stack traces or dump files if it will help. This is on unreal 4.13.1 from unreal’s qa perforce branch.
@peet808 thanks for the update about sales. The suggestion I had was, no matter where NeoFur content were sold by artists, Neoglyphic would receive 10-30% commission (based on the amount of content) to help with ongoing development costs.
@morieris - More info is always helpful; please send them to NeoFur at neoglyphic.com. In the interim, you can set you assets to use “Force CPUSimulation” under Neo Fur Debug: http://support.neoglyphic.com/topics/13-neofur-faq/@Hyncharas - We’ve had a lot of discussions around this - that’s all I can say right now.
Aabs Inc. - That’s the plan.
What is the proper way to direct the plugin to spline data contained in a FBX ? The input field for it seems to only accept pasting and the help page about spline grooming in NeoFur through Xgen doesn’t cover that part of the process.
[edit] Nevermind, found it, the actual input field was just below. Leaving my post here if anyone runs into the same issue. Overall the page about curve grooming could benefit from being more detailed.
Hello guys !
You make a great plugin and it works fluently in my project.
I just have a little problem while packaging my game for win 32 platform.
Here’s my log :
The UE4-NeoFur.lib is missing in the NeoFur\Binaries\Win32 folder.
I try to use the one in the x64 folder but of course… It doesn’t works
My game compile with no error for win 64 but I need it on win32 platform too (my sound designer is old school ^^).
Edit : Sorry for exposing my tech problem here… I can’t found a link to your support on the neoglyphic site but I have it in my fav now
It would be super useful if you all included more of the content assets in the plugin package file. Specifically the three types of master materials. The NeofurDemo project gives me tons of errors and isn’t running corrently in 4.13.2 for me, so I can migrate stuff out of it but would like the plugin to contain all the base stuff I’d need to get started! (I only see the one master material, and that is if I copy it out of the plugin/content folder and put it into my own content folder.) Thx!
@JBernhelm - Thanks for the feedback on the master materials and on the demo project errors. I’ll see about adding the materials in to the main plugin archive with our next release. I’ll also take a look into the project and see what we can fix there as well.

Hi @Architect3D - I’m sorry you’ve been having issues. We’d love to get more information about your problems if you’d like to share; please either PM or send to NeoFur at neoglyphic.com.
With respect to removing the plugin, it shouldn’t change anything other than just not having fur on your assets. You should just be able to delete the tree from YourProject\Plugins\Neoglyphic and that will work. You could also disable to plugin under the menu item Edit=>Plugins, and choose Neoglyphic under the “Project” heading.
I chose to disable plugin, because if I remove the plugin folder there is graphical problems, occasionally it remind me about a neofur compression error as i work in editor ctrl+g into game. as if something is still referenced. Your FAQ dont have this basic issue covered. it would be nice to know how to disable plugin and uninstall plugin directly from your support page.
Another thing, now that i have it disabled, i installed it for different project, how does cooking the game and testing full game mode effect the license. Like how do I know if I will use up single use indie license. thanks
