Now Xmas/New Year has come and gone, I wanted to ask about Lumberyard - I know CryEngine has its own core hair/fur system (and Lumberyard has inherited some of this), but I think indie developers could do better with a Modular Gem that offers NeoFur integration.
Hey, can someone tell me what i’m doing wrong, I followed the unreal tutorial but can’t get this thing to look like fur at all
@Hyncharas - The question has come up a few times but we don’t have any immediate plans.
@anonymous_user_5dfba7d6 - Which material are you using? Without knowing any details, it looks like your shell count is a bit too low.

Absolutely love the plugin. We’re going to have it fully implement this week in our next update. It looks amazing and works great in every different lighting I’ve tried. Seriously good work.
@sanford87 love that cat
Note to customers - depending on your Internet connection/strain, it takes a while for the image gallery on product pages to load properly.
I just get the personal version of Neofur, and I get the “Missing or incompatible modules in NeoFur plugin” error in any project. What am I missing?
Good Job! But i have a question, how close the LOD?
@Davixe - Are you using the correct version of NeoFur for the version of Unreal Engine that you’re using?
@white_Wings - What’s your question about LOD settings?

Hi, someone here is having problem for pack a debug win x64 package with neofur?
I’m not sure if i’m missing something or what, but my build fail when it comes to neofur
here is an image of the log http://i.imgur.com/4DHNqj3.jpg
I double sure to follow their steps in order to do a package using the pre compiled binnaries with my indie license. but i still getting errors and i really need to build this soon as possible because i need to start the beta testing of an archviz i’m doing, and i would like to have neofur on tests for performance measurements…
NeoFur Plugin is not installed in the engine directory (only two needed files for shaders are there)
I have added an empty C++ class to my project and compile it
The plugin is installed in my project directory, otherside i would not see the fur on carpets
I have installed the Visual Studio 2015 with all c++ needed components from installer.
engine is 4.14.3
neofur plugin is the last one available
project is win x64 debug
Maybe something laughable i missed out, but can i have a hand here? @peet808
thanks.
Hi @Bigodon - I’m going to guess that you’re using a personal license, correct? If that’s the case, this is one of the limitations of the Personal Learning Edition - if doesn’t have the ability to build binaries. If you’re interested in upgrading, we can give you credit for your personal license.
–Pete
Yes, now it’s the personal license
When i purchased it only have options of indie and pro
I guess i will have to upgrade for indie anytime soon, but thanks for make it clear to me.
With Neoglyphic “in transition”, I hope that means they will develop the Spire book series into full games, as that sounds like an interesting world.
What was the last version of UE4 that NeoFur supported?
Hope this plugin comes back in some form…
Suprised to see the plugin is unavailable. Havent managed to use it at all yet since it broke certain shadder features to work in non-neofur materials. Meant to check the bug ticket that was made last year, but cant find it anymore in their website. Else very nice plugin, but if not be able to use it then its making me a sad panda.
Maybe Epic have bought the product from them? or an investor saw the potential?
As there is no update on the official site I would ask here - Is neofur dead?
Does anyone know a good substitution?
When is this plugin going to be available to be bought again???
@peet808
Please release NeoFur for UE4.16.
I would appreciate a 4.16 release as well!
