Nanite Displacement bugged in exact same Landscape in UE 5.8 but not in UE 5.7

Summary

Hi Unreal team,

I have an example map from a youtube content creator (Unreal Sensei) that explains nanite displacement for Landscape auto materials, however the displacement is not working in UE 5.8 despite tessellation activated. When I open the exact same level in UE 5.7.4 and enable tessellation, nanite displacement works perfectly fine for the exact same auto material instance and scene. The materials used apply textures from quixel / fab. When I open Nanite Mesh view, the nanite mesh looks incredibly tiny (like sand) rather than a functional mesh of triangles as in 5.7.4…

Is there a way to fix this or is this a known issue that nanite displacement isn’t working in UE 5.8?

Please could you shed some light on the matter?

Best regards and have a nice day!

What Type of Bug are you experiencing?

World Creation Tools

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open a level in UE 5.8 using a landscape auto material that utilizes nanite displacement. > not working!
  2. Open the exact same level in UE 5.7.4, enable tessellation, rebuild Nanite level data and it works!

Expected Result

Nanite displacement should work in UE 5.8 when enabling tessellation in the material and rebuilding nanite mesh.

Observed Result

Nanite displacement is dysfunctional in UE 5.8 but not in 5.7.4. The mesh in nanite overview in 5.8 appears to be extremely finely scattered to a point where it looks like it is not properly created.
