Nanite changes assets' material

I am exploring Nanites’ capability but recently I found out that nanite changes the materials on certain assets. It’s replacing the original material with a random assets’ material in the world.
Is there any work around or do I need to wait for a bug fix?

I have had the same issue. It’s only when Nanite is enabled. So vexing!
Is it a bug? Or is the way Nanite deals with material slots different?
