My UEFN project was locked (hidden)

My UEFNproject was locked (hidden).
I contacted support 3 weeks ago asking for the specific rejection reason and the instructions to unlock my map, but I got no response.

In the rejection email I got:
1.1 A Safe Environment - Don’t contribute to content involving or promoting illegal activities, including harassment, bullying, assault, doxing, swatting, gambling, illegal drugs, animal cruelty, fraud, hacking, and piracy. Content that condones or incites violence against others has no place in Fortnite.
One or more introductions

Illegal activities are not promoted in my map, it is an adventure on a spaceship, there is no way to hurt animals or players: all combat is completely disabled in the release in question, there are only science missions. So IARC form reflects that.

I believe my project was locked in error, it is unfair that I cannot get any support. So much effort went into making this map:

739 commits from May 25 2023
46 Verse files
hundreds of hours spent in the editor
wiki: www.reddit.com/r/SpaceshipWiki

I need an administrator to unlock my map, support ref/id: e90208a1-404a-8da6-d600-8d891268d66c
Island code: 3039-4145-5931
Latest submitted release: Plastic

Considering this is the first time my map received this rejection reason, it shouldn’t be locked in the first place. I should be given a chance to address any new issues.

I was instructed to update my map, but I am unable to make any changes because the project is locked.

I think I should have received some answers by now, at least my map should be unlocked.

@latundaPC Hello! This is something that our Player Support team can investigate for you to give more information: Epic Games Technical Support & Customer Service | Epic Games

Hi Stevie, on the Player Support site there is a notification at the top that says

"Due to the large number of inquiries, our responses may take longer than usual. If you already have an open request then please continue to use your original request and do not submit a new one, as it will be quicker for us to help you via your original request. We will do our best to reply as quickly as possible. Thanks for your patience."

Are you suggesting that they disregard that and make another ticket?

The status of UCB-1098 incident has been moved from ‘Awaiting Validation’ to ‘Needs Triage’.

I suspect that because the project is not available they cannot start investigating.

In three weeks I would expect some communication to happen at least something like “you are 57th in queue” or some time estimate.

As a contributor to this map, I am also invested in the outcome of this thread.

@HalcyonKnight96 I saw you helped escalate some other projects before, maybe you could help with this one? We are happy to make any adjustments if required. But at the moment it isn’t clear if anything is required, and we can’t adjust anything while the project is locked.

I apologize for the direct ping, but we got no support response for more than 40 days now, and I am not sure if there are any other alternative.

Did you ever receive help after this? Running into a similar issue.

Yesterday after 2 moths of silence, I got a response from Epic player support that they investigated and decided that sanction was inaccurately applied and my case will help improve the moderation process and training for moderators.

It does need improving and not only the moderation part, I suspect a couple of times publishing failed due to the software issues and then just picked a random reason for rejection. It happened even before IARC.

I now try to avoid publishing any time near scheduled updates and wait for the review to finish before uploading a new private version.

Any useful investigation details were not shared with me, so I still do not know if there was anything in my map that triggered them to issue such a grave rejection reason. For some time, I was thinking it is my current approach to disable certain missions.

I have a list of security and science missions, where I define which mission can happen on the spaceship. So if Epic releases a new Fortnite update, where it is not possible to know if a prop is destroyed or not, I can simply exclude all missions that rely on this functionality and quickly publish.

It gives me time to come up with a workaround or I can leave them disabled until the official fix.

What happens if I completely disable all combat missions? Then if I answer all IARC questions truthfully, there will be no violence. But there are weapon item granters present in the project and though they are never granting anything because the mission can’t even happen, their presence potentially could trigger rejection if the detection system is not sophisticated enough.

And though Epic fixed all the issues they introduced quite quickly, I could not reenable all missions, my project became locked and we could not work on it, and players could not play the new [plastic] mission for two+ months.

And did I mention it was my most popular map?

Can you imagine your most popular map cut for no reason and not available for months?

yes My UEFN project was locked (hidden) - #9 by latundaPC

Yep happened to me at 7500+ live players randomly got taken down with 0 reason why and 0 contact from support

Due to technical issues, this project is still locked.
To anyone who cannot get any support, maybe upvote Creators need dedicated creator support

Could you let me know the status of this issue.
I’d like this map unlocked in the backend so I can make changes.

Support informed me that the decision to hide and lock it was reversed but I am still unable to access it.

Support cannot unlock themselves due to some technical issues. They closed my support case (again!).

For 4 months I did not get any help with this map. Shouldn’t there be a process in place to deal with backend issues and to help creators?

Please fix it in the backend. It is now causing server errors in analytics. @Flak maybe you can help.
