I’m excited to share the results of my work over the last couple of weeks! Get ready for a massive update to the Rekesh Gaal demo soon!
Rekesh Gaal is looking awesome. Your diligence is inspiring. Keep Going!
Hi, @TechLord ! Thanks! That’s really encouraging to hear. I’m putting in a lot of effort, and it’s great to know people are noticing. I can’t wait to show you more!
I continue to work on a large update for the Rekesh Gaal demo!
Mini-boss update: new special attack and improved combat mechanics!
Hey everyone, I’m excited to announce a big update for the Rekesh Gaal demo!
Key Changes
Saving and Respawning: Save your progress at any time! The game now saves your inventory, storage, skills, and more. You can create up to 10 characters.
Items placed in the Transfer Area are now saved and available to all your characters!
Respawn System: Introducing the “Attraction Altar”, a new object that replenishes your health and acts as a respawn point.
Difficulty Diversity: Enemies on higher difficulties react faster and have a higher chance of dropping Legendary and Epic items. On Hell difficulty, enemies can be equipped with items that can be obtained after defeating them.
Battle Mechanics Improvements: The mini-boss now has a new special attack and an improved old special attack. I improved the knockback system and enemy death effects. The combat system for all characters has also been improved overall.
Additional Changes
UI: I have added a new character creation window to the game with options to select difficulty and starting weapon. Several other UI elements in the game have also been improved.
Balance: Item and skill stats have been adjusted for better balance and variety. The chance of getting rare items has been significantly reduced, which is more in line with what will be in the release version of the game.
New Locations: The foggy area on the lower level has been expanded.
Bug Fixes: Numerous bugs reported by players over the past few months have been fixed, including issues with enemy gravity, the monologue system, and more.
Looks awesome, looks like it will play like the good old diablo version. Great job
Appreciate the kind words, @Thorsten09 ! I’m putting a lot of effort into making this game something special with its own unique features. But I’m also making sure to include those classic RPG elements that made us all fall in love with the genre in the first place.
Yeah take the good elements who everybody knows and like is always a good idea. You don´t need to reinvent the wheel the give it the unique features on top of it.
