Interesting, this issue was reported, and supposed to be resolved in a hotifx, about a month ago, as seen here:

Summary After today’s UEFN update, the editor freezes right after memory calculation. Please select what you are reporting on: Unreal Editor for Fortnite What Type of Bug are you experiencing? Memory Steps to Reproduce Launch memory calculation in any project. Expected Result UEFN finishes launch memory calculation and loads the project normally. Observed Result UEFN freezes right after the launch memory calculation. Platform(s) pc

Considering this, please make sure you are working on the latest version of UEFN. I would also check your install in Library, and apply “Verify” from the dropdown menu.

If the problem persists, try clearing your engine’s cache, via going to …AppData\Local\UnrealEngine\Common and deleting folder “DerivedDataCache”
