More Lighting Channels

Hello there! Would it be possible to add more channels for lighting? There are many instances that I have come across (particularly when lighting multiple characters in a close space) where it would be beneficial to have a couple more lighting channels to single out characters.

Just how Epic decided to implement it. Lighting channels aren’t free and I guess when they figured 3 is good enough.

Doesn’t help that they aren’t supported by a lot of features (volumetric lighting, skylights, bounce lighting from lumen…)

Well that stinks. Hopefully they could add a couple more in some future update (Maybe even UE6). Those other light sources would be super helpful to have as well. Is it a limitation of Lumen maybe?

If it is just a matter of being expensive to use, a simple test box at an “add channel” button would be sufficient enough of a warning.
