I got this problem that I can’t solve, in the picture I have uploaded you can see the color coded sections that represent diffrent materials using a multi sub material in 3D max.
It might be abit hard to see but i have 4 diffrent materials ids inside 3D Max to the right and when I import it over to unreal engine 4 it ends up with 3 and not on the right polygons. I tried this on 2 diffrent versions of unreal engine, 4.8.3 and 4.9.1.
Here is the weirest part, in the 3D Max file I use i have several road models, 2lane road, 4 lane road and 8 lane road the 2 lane road works fine but not the 4 and 8 lane road models.
Any clues what the problem can be? I have quadruple checked the file and it should be as it should as far as I can tell. It doesn’t let me upload the .Max file to show unfortunately.
