Minor - Copying components within blueprints doesn't paste their name

As shown in the video, I copied a component called “Upgrade Text” (its a static mesh) and when pasted it shows as “Static mesh 1”

yes i have even got the same issue don’t know how to solve it yet :disappointed_relieved:

@gauravohm Thank you for your report! Can you please re-post using the “New Issue” option on the Issues and Bug Reporting forums? Posts with this feature are connected directly into our development team so we can quickly get to them!

Reporting that this is still happening. Though, the replication rate is not 100%. It’s closer to 99%.
Keep copying and pasting and eventually it will keep the name, somehow.

Ah, figured it out. Copy it via the right click menu rather than keyboard shortcuts and it will work.

This implies that somehow the copying and pasting code was written twice, once for the dropdown menu, and once for the keyboard shortcut. Brings me back to the good old days of AAA in-house engine jank.

it works sometimes too more than just ctrl+c, but it still doesnt work fully do you maybe select it differently or can you just send a vid of you selecting this maybe that will help ToT

I find if you compile the blueprint, it has more chance to copy its name and tree structure.
