Metahuman Animator using timecode/ ERROR!!

Hi guys,

I am using MHA quite some time and I had no issues but recently we started MHA with time code using tentacle sync. We were getting the time code in but when I import the video in Unreal using the capture source, I started getting error messages.

"Error: Wave file ‘022_5702_1_EcstaticDance_monk_Nun_1_Face_003_3_Audio’ has unsupported number of channels 3
Error: Unrecognized sound format ‘wav’ in 022_5702_1_EcstaticDance_monk_Nun_1_Face_003_3_Audio

LogCaptureManager: Error: Ingest for take 022_5702_1_EcstaticDance_monk_Nun_1_Face_003_3 failed: ‘Error importing audio clip’

When I looked further into this and noticed the audio has 3 channels, as the TC is embedded in the audio.

I tried processing a file with no TC in it and it worked fine, as it comes as 1 channel.

So is anyone else is facing the issue with MHA using the time code via tentacle sync.

Using TC saves a lot of time in production and without TC is a lot of manual alignment.

Apologies for the late response. If you have footage that is failing to import with an error relating to 3-channel audio, please see the workaround in the following post.

An updated version of the Live Link Face app is now available (version 1.3.2) that should prevent future takes from exhibiting this issue when importing.
