Some players reported a messy hair simulation on certain graphics card models. We confirmed the issue on 9070 XT. In reports, there were mentions of this causing a crash, but we were unable to reproduce it. We are using 5.6 version. The video of the issue and a screenshot of the groom physics setup are attached.
We are not sure what would be the underlying issue. We suspect this could be related to RBF interpolation precision. Would it be possible to remove RBF interpolation on the problematic groom and see if the issue still reproduces on some clients?
We don’t have RBF interpolation enabled, so this is not the problem. Since we were unable to find the issue, we disabled physics simulation on the hair.
