Megascan Plants billboard looks really bad , how do I disable or improve the billboard LOD

I am using megascans for foliage. But the billboard at distance looks really awful. How do I prevent that?
I have searched about it, but normally most of the foliage tutorials use a lot of foreground foliages, so this problem is not so apparent.
Please help!

You can remove that LOD, but it will hit your performance ( depending on how many you have ). In the mesh editor

Can I prevent them from getting so dark? I tried changing the translucency value.
It did improve the situation, but did not solve it totally

You need to change the material or that LOD. You can boost the albedo, or SSS.

Another option, if you’re finding it difficult to match up is to create a new Billboard LOD with rdLODtools - that has many options to adjust the colors and transparency/SubSurface values.

Thanks for the suggestion. But can not afford any paid addon at this very moment. Might try it later though
