This is a question or ask around a material shader.
Does anyone know of a way to achieve a hand painted or stylized material look with what I will call “edge highlighting” from a mesh automatically? Here is an example:
Now this is a hand painted texture that goes in the base color to give the edges the highlighted look, but can this be done with a shader only? I reference the geometry pointiness node from within blender that is able to mask out the edges fairly well, maybe there is something in unreal like that?
Kind of an open ended question, so I apologize for that. Hopefully this question makes sense. Thanks!
